MEET THE TEAM

From NASDAQ Unicorn to ASX Growth: How Priscilla Ambrosio is Building Relait's Future with AI

Oct 29, 2025

Introduce yourself

Hi, I’m Priscilla 👋 I’m an engineer with a deep background in FinTech product development. I had the chance to work at a company that became a NASDAQ-listed unicorn in Brazil, and later helped build a spin-off that reached over 200,000 customers in its very first year.

In 2023, I decided to follow an old dream (and a bit of intuition) and moved to Australia. It wasn’t easy leaving everything behind, but it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made. I found a great balance between work and life here.  I’m doing what I love, and I even met my partner here. Definitely a win-win!

What’s your role at Relait and what do you do?

I’m the Product Owner here at Relait. My role is to shape where the product is headed, and then make sure we actually get there.

That means gathering feedback from customers, syncing with different teams, analysing what’s happening in the market, and reviewing our system metrics to build a clear roadmap for the short, medium, and long term.

Once that vision is defined, I turn it into actionable tasks for our development team - so we can bring it to life.

In short, I ensure our product continually evolves to deliver maximum value to our clients, accelerating their business outcomes.

What draws you to Relait?

Even before joining the team, I could see Relait was solving a real customer problem - that’s the foundation of any great startup. Because that core challenge was already clear, and had been validated, I saw huge potential for growth and innovation ahead.

I love the creative freedom of building something new, and I get energy from fast-paced environments. Relait offered both, so it just clicked.

Why Startups?

Working at a startup means being a builder - someone who turns ideas into reality. You need to be optimistic, curious, and commercially fearless.

You need to truly understand your customers, believe in what you’re creating, and be proactive about testing and improving. No two days are the same. You’re constantly learning and shaping what the future looks like.

It’s an uncertain environment, sure. But for me, that’s what makes it so rewarding: it keeps me challenged and genuinely happy in what I do.

How did you end up here on the team?

After a short intro chat with Martin, we met in person for an interview and I could immediately tell how passionate he was about the product. Many of the steps the team was taking reminded me of the early-stage fintechs I’d worked with, which told me they were on the right track. We actually ran out of time because there was so much to talk about.

Then I had a second conversation with Jason, and we got into more detail about tech and product thinking. By the end of both interviews, I had this strong gut feeling that these were the kind of people who get it. Experienced, focused, and genuinely driven. It just felt like a great match.

What’s the most exciting thing about Relait?

Definitely the people! I work closely with Jason and Martin, and we’ve built such an open environment where everyone can share ideas, challenge assumptions, and speak honestly. That kind of openness and trust is what allows a product to grow in the right direction.

Every conversation is centered on customer outcomes and how we can innovate. That relentless focus is what makes it exciting to come to work every day.

What’s a product that’d suck to lose?

Right now, it would have to be Wise. I used it constantly when I first moved to Australia to transfer money from Brazil. It honestly made my life so much easier as a new immigrant.

It’s super simple, intuitive, and just works, no unnecessary complexity.

What’s the most interesting thing on the internet right now?

Right now, I’m completely fascinated by generative artificial intelligence. The speed at which it’s evolving blows my mind.

At home, we often find ourselves talking about how AI will shape the future: education, jobs, companies, even national economies. As a naturally optimistic person, I genuinely believe AI gives us the chance to build a better world.
